The email seems to indicate a Microsoft executive's mention that it is their intention to get Windows Live Mobile Search working on a BlackBerry Pearl.
Didn't announce the carrier, but the intent was still there.
Intrigued, I Googled the message sender and the recipient.
Let me show you a copy of the message, and what I found out about the sender and recipient.

Ziminvades is an active member of Pinstack, and also has a pretty cool Flickr photostream.
Then, I searched for Steve Garrity and Microsoft.
This was one of Google's first citations:

Screencapped from the Stanford Computer Forum's October 11, 2006 program, there's respondent Steve Garrity, listed as Microsoft's program Manager for Mobile Search.
Confirmation? No. Clues? Yes.

1. Ok you used Windows Live Mobile in the title and Windows Mobile in the article. They are two different things. Steve was actually confirming Windows Live Mobile for Blackberry, not Windows Mobile for Blackberry.
Hardly an exclusive, as its already on the Windows Live Mobile page: http://wls.live.com/j2me_handsets.aspx
